Four Weeks

I can't believe that four weeks have past already. It is SO nice to have those weeks behind me and to be moving forward with the two little ones. Although I have really good babies, it is quite a challenge to have two of them. Once you get one fed, changed and happy...there is another that needs your attention. Thankfully they are good sleepers, sleeping 4+ hours at night. They are also pretty good during the day!Jessica is weighting 5 lbs 12 oz, gaining 19 oz in two weeks. She is very social and when she is awake she is very alert. She loves to be held and has become quite spoiled with all the helping hands around.
Justin is weighting 7 lbs 2 oz, gaining 18 oz in 2 weeks. He is our mellow guy and loves to snuggle. He has been smiling at Jaron for the last couple days, but no smiles for mom yet.

First day of School

OK so school started over a week ago, but what can I say, I am a little slow this year...maybe it is the lack of sleep, the constant feeding of babies, or just plain laziness:) The boys all have wonderful teachers this year. I am very happy with them all! They are all enjoying school so far!
I can't believe it is the last year that all of them will be in Elementary school. Tyson is loving being a big 6th grader and all the perks that come with it, like sitting in the back of the bus. He is becoming a true pre-teen. He loves everything skateboarding and rides his scooter all the time. Braden is still our sweet boy, with a hint of being mean. He loves his teacher and enjoys each moment he is in. Nathan LOVES being in 1st grade and having lunch at school. The first day he went I was thinking it might be a little hard for him, but he took off to the bus like it was the best thing ever. I even walked down to the bus stop and he was like "why are you here mom?" Sure makes the transition easier when they love it so much. My boys are growing up so fast, I can't believe it.

2nd Annual Farr Family Olympics

Another summer Farr family games! Last year we started doing the Farr Family Olympics. It was inspired by the summer olympics last year that all of us got into. Also, when Jaron was little his family would do something similar. We have many events that take place in the back yard including pull ups, sit ups, standing long jump, high jump, 40 yard dash, etc. This year we added a new event, high jump off the tramp, the boys loved to see how high they could get! It was a great family event and all of the boys improved from last years marks. Nathan "superman" over the high jump Tyson flying high

Two Weeks old

Justin Boy...He is proving to be a very good baby, he reminds me of Braden when he was a baby...very laid back. He eats well and then just chills out or sleeps. We love our little man and are so glad he is a part of our family.
Jess...Little Miss, she is such a sweetheart. She loves to down her bottle very fast. When she is awake she is very alert and loves to see the world around her. She is also content to just chill in the swing or bouncer when she is awake. We are so happy to have her with us!
Here they are together, what cute kids. We are so lucky that they have been so good. It has also been wonderful to have Jaron home so he can help out. The older boys have been big helps, especially Braden. We are so grateful for a wonderful ward that has helped with meals, for Grandma and Grandpa Farr being so willing to jump in when we need them, and for Amber and the Barrus family for helping out SO much! Thank you to everyone!

Their Here!!!

Here I am the morning I went in for my C- section on July 31st. I was so excited to get those two out of me!!
My mom was able to be here which was so nice! She was a wonderful help for the few weeks she was here. Unfortunatly she had to leave to go back to work a few days after the babies were born.
Everything went well, except the side effects of the drugs, I HATE all the shaking and loosing the use of my legs.
Justin Lewis came out first weighing 5lbs 10oz Jessica Nalani was next weighing 4lb 5oz. Since she was so small they took her to the NICU as a procaution.
Justin was able to stay with us and the older boys came up and saw him. They loved their new little bro, but were disappointed that they weren't able to see Jessica. Jessica had to continue to stay in the NICU throughout my stay in the hospital and we had to leave her behind since she was loosing so much weight and not eating enough.
It was really hard having to leave her at the hospital and not being able to see her as much. I would go down to the NICU when she ate to try to get her to eat from me, but she was too weak. They had to put a feeding tube in her for her to get her strength. She was on a strict eating schedule for a while to make sure she got all the nutrients she needed to grow.
