TRI!!!

So about 6 months ago my cute sis in law Marci told me about a sprint Triathlon that she heard of.  It has always been on my list to do a triathlon so I grabbed up the chance...and I am so glad I did!!  I trained at the gym, borrowed a road bike (which is now on my list of things to buy), and waited for the day to arrive.  I was a little nervous going into the race, not really sure of what to expect or how I would do, but I knew I wouldn't be the last to cross the finish line!  There were about 1000 participants in the Women of Steel sprint triathlon and I finished 307th.  It took me a total of 1:31:40.  I was hoping to come in under 1:30, so next time I definitely will.  My individual times were: 7:44 - swim, 48:36 - bike, and 28:51- run.  I can't wait to do another, and if I had the money, I would go buy a bike and sign up for one again this summer.  So look ahead for more triathlons in my future, I may even be brave enough to try and open water swim soon!
Jaron and the kids came out to cheer me and Marci on, along with Grandma and pa farr and Julie and girls.

Cute Julie brought us flowers...so sweet!

Nathan's Special Day

Nathan's Baptism

We had a wonderful morning yesterday.  Nathan was baptized.  Of all the boys, he has been the most excited to be baptized.  Earlier this week Jaron and I took Nate on a date to get his very own set of scriptures, he wanted the really nice leather ones, but we got him the ones more suited for his age:)  Nathan has so much knowledge of baptism, thanks to his wonderful primary teachers and leaders!  He is such a unique and special boy.  We are so proud of you Nathan and the choice you have made to be baptized.  The gift of the Holy Ghost is one that will be with you always and will help you always, if you just ask.  Nathan we love you!
Ready!

Nathan had many people attend the baptism that love him.  Thank you to all who came, it means a lot to me and to our family.  We had all the Farr siblings together, which doesn't happen much with all our busy lives, Amanda, the Reid family, Barrus family and Jackson family, plus Nathan's wonderful primary teachers, the Lunds and our great neighbors the Ahlburgs.  We got to share our day with our friends the Bradfords who had their little girl getting baptized too.  After the baptism the fam and friends came over for some grub.
No post is complete without a picture of the princess:)

Thank you to all for bringing food to feed this crowd and for those that participated in the program.  Thank you to Christa and Suzette and Grandma for the kitchen help and to Amber and girls for the baby help.  Unfortunately the worker bees didn't get in any pictures!  Love you all!
