Thanksgiving

Cute Megan and Brooke Berrett!
The crew...check out Bradley sound asleep...he was up all night shopping Black Friday, that crazy boy!
This year my brother Bradley and family were here as well as my mom. We had a wonderful week with them, we were constantly going. It was so much fun to spend time with my cute nieces and I loved watching my kids get bossed around by their cute cousins:) I kept telling them to get used to it as that is how it is with girls, they will soon find out! Bradley and Carroll did their annual Black Friday shopping and as always were gracious to pick up some stuff for us. They are the best! We just wished they all lived closer!

Babies Blessing - Nov. 2009

We were so lucky to have my brother Bradley and family and my mom here from CA for the babies blessing. We were also joined by Jaron's parents and both sisters and families, as well as our dear friends the Barrus, Reids, and Suzette and kids! It was a wonderful day, full of love and memories. We are so grateful to have these two sweet spirits in our home.

Playtime with the camera

What better day to play with the camera then Sunday. Our church isn't until 1 so Jaron broke out the camera and took some candid pics of the kids. I need to update our picture wall and I am so glad that he has the equipment to do it here at home. Unfortunatly, everytime we take pics of the kids, we think that maybe next time we will get a better photo, thus no updated photo wall!

Big Helpers

I have been dreading off track for a while now. Having two babies and the three older boys home 24/7 seemed like it would be quite overwhelming. Don't get me wrong we have had our share of fights, messes, yelling, etc. I have had to tell the kids to leave me alone for a bit here and there. All in all though it has been a real help to have the boys home. Tyson, Braden, and Nathan have all been willing to help out with the little ones. They all love to pick out their clothes and get them dressed. The other morning, Braden wanted to put Jess in a sundress. I didn't have the heart to tell him no, so we just put some leggins under it and called it good. It is cute to see what they dress them in. If I am busy I know that the boys will be spot on in helping entertain the babies if they get fussy. I know that the babes are going to miss them when they go back to school...hey so am I in some ways. They are also big helps when it comes to bath time, they even change a wet diaper here and there. I am so lucky to have such helpful boys that love their baby brother and sister.

Halloween!

It's Halloween time again! One of the favorite holidays in our house. After last year...spending over $100 in costumes, I told the kids that this year was a make your own, find an old costume year. So after brainstorming, dad came up with a great idea...be zombies! So we found some worn out clothes and the boys had a blast cutting and ripping into them. Since Justin has such a big head, we thought he looked like a good Charlie Brown and Jessica got to wear a Strawberry costume that Grammie sent for her.
At Jaron's work they have a trick or treat day and so we were able to go to that. Our good friends the Barrus came too, since both dads work at the same place. That is Tyler in the gorilla costume...his own daughter wouldn't give him the time of day!

Carving Pumpkins

It is pumpkin carving time! It is so nice to have the boys older every year and more involved in the pumpkin carving. Tyson didn't even need any help this year. Each boy drew out the face they wanted and then carved their pumpkin.
Nathan still needed quite a bit of help from Dad.
Braden settled for mom help and we did quite a good job.
Thankfully Amanda was here that night to help with babies! While here Braden sang "Monster Mash" to Justin and he actually giggled for the first time. It was soooo cute! Thank you for all your help Amanda!

Halloween Babies

Here are the cute babes in their Halloween outfits. The other morning they were both so happy and I got them both to smile in a picture! They are getting so big...recognizing more and more around them. They smile whenever anyone gets down and talks to them. They are both talking and learning how to use their voice. We love having these two in our family!

Two Months

Jessica is growing so much. She is now up to 8lbs 5 oz. She loves to be held and will win you over with her smile that lights up her face. She is so beautiful! Justin is puttin on the pounds. He is now 10lbs 3 oz. He is such a cuddler and just molds to your body when you hold him. He is our love bug! Jessica looking like she is trying to push Justin out of the way and steal the spotlight....better get used to that buddy:) Noni and Popi came for a visit and to meet the twins. Jessica stole thier heart with her beauty and smiles. Justin found his place in their hearts by being his mellow, cuddly self...oh and smiling too!

Sports, sports, and more sports

Tyson plays goalie and midfield defender. He loves playing soccer and is on a team with all his buddies. It has been wonderful for him to have such success and build up his confidence. Jaron really had to talk me into letting him play, with other kids in sports and the twins I was unsure, and Tyson usually doesn't like soccer. But I am so glad that dad had the insight to make this happen.
Nathan our other soccer boy! He loves playing soccer and gets right in the middle of everything. He is quite aggressive and gets mad when the coach subs him out. He wants to always be on the field.
Braden is playing flag football and enjoying it! He is quite fast and has made some break away, length of the field touchdowns. His favorite move is the spin move which has been quite effective!

Juggling Twins

Having twins is like a circus. You have to feed, bathe, clothe, change, love, play with the baby and once you get that one settled down and asleep, there is another that needs your attention. It is a constant flow of babies needs at our house. Luckily we have come up with some ways to console them both when needed.
There isn't much else that gets done around here when the babies need attention, so we resort to sleeping, watching tv, or reading if we are lucky!

Family Pictures

Our family does NOT like to take pictures, whose family does. So when Jaron got his nice camera I thought great, now he can take our family pictures. So last week we decided to see how it would go. I think they turned out pretty well. Jaron still wants to try again to see if he can get the camera settings better. We were going to go up the canyon to find a great spot, but didn't have the energy to get 5 kids ready and head up there. So we just set up in the back yard with the rock garden as the back drop...good enough for me:)
Of course Nathan had to have a turn holding one of the babies in a picture since the brothers got to...so here is his quick photo, since we were all hitting our picture limit!!!

Four Weeks

I can't believe that four weeks have past already. It is SO nice to have those weeks behind me and to be moving forward with the two little ones. Although I have really good babies, it is quite a challenge to have two of them. Once you get one fed, changed and happy...there is another that needs your attention. Thankfully they are good sleepers, sleeping 4+ hours at night. They are also pretty good during the day!Jessica is weighting 5 lbs 12 oz, gaining 19 oz in two weeks. She is very social and when she is awake she is very alert. She loves to be held and has become quite spoiled with all the helping hands around.
Justin is weighting 7 lbs 2 oz, gaining 18 oz in 2 weeks. He is our mellow guy and loves to snuggle. He has been smiling at Jaron for the last couple days, but no smiles for mom yet.

First day of School

OK so school started over a week ago, but what can I say, I am a little slow this year...maybe it is the lack of sleep, the constant feeding of babies, or just plain laziness:) The boys all have wonderful teachers this year. I am very happy with them all! They are all enjoying school so far!
I can't believe it is the last year that all of them will be in Elementary school. Tyson is loving being a big 6th grader and all the perks that come with it, like sitting in the back of the bus. He is becoming a true pre-teen. He loves everything skateboarding and rides his scooter all the time. Braden is still our sweet boy, with a hint of being mean. He loves his teacher and enjoys each moment he is in. Nathan LOVES being in 1st grade and having lunch at school. The first day he went I was thinking it might be a little hard for him, but he took off to the bus like it was the best thing ever. I even walked down to the bus stop and he was like "why are you here mom?" Sure makes the transition easier when they love it so much. My boys are growing up so fast, I can't believe it.

2nd Annual Farr Family Olympics

Another summer Farr family games! Last year we started doing the Farr Family Olympics. It was inspired by the summer olympics last year that all of us got into. Also, when Jaron was little his family would do something similar. We have many events that take place in the back yard including pull ups, sit ups, standing long jump, high jump, 40 yard dash, etc. This year we added a new event, high jump off the tramp, the boys loved to see how high they could get! It was a great family event and all of the boys improved from last years marks. Nathan "superman" over the high jump Tyson flying high
Braden's front flip over the high jump

Two Weeks old

Justin Boy...He is proving to be a very good baby, he reminds me of Braden when he was a baby...very laid back. He eats well and then just chills out or sleeps. We love our little man and are so glad he is a part of our family.
Jess...Little Miss, she is such a sweetheart. She loves to down her bottle very fast. When she is awake she is very alert and loves to see the world around her. She is also content to just chill in the swing or bouncer when she is awake. We are so happy to have her with us!
Here they are together, what cute kids. We are so lucky that they have been so good. It has also been wonderful to have Jaron home so he can help out. The older boys have been big helps, especially Braden. We are so grateful for a wonderful ward that has helped with meals, for Grandma and Grandpa Farr being so willing to jump in when we need them, and for Amber and the Barrus family for helping out SO much! Thank you to everyone!

Grandma and Grandpa Farr have been such big helps, we are so lucky to have them living so close to us!
