Grammie Time

Grammie came and spent a couple weeks with us the end of Sept/early Oct.  It was soooooooo wonderful to have her around.  She is such a big help and loves to be with the kids!  She relieves a lot of stress off of me while she is here.  We were able to venture out with the twins during the day, a couple of highlights were story time at the library and the mall.  I know the mall doesn't sound like a very toddler friendly place, but ours has a dinosaur play area, a train, and a carousel.  We hit all three places and the babes LOVED it.  Thank you grammie for sharing your time with us!!

Jessica

I can't blog about Justin and not add one about Jessica...our princes.  Here is a short video of her dancing in her carseat.  She LOVES music and can sing some parts of the ABC song.  We listen to baby radio during lunch and she loves to move to the music.  We love our little girl!!

A Boy and his Letters!

I have never seen a child so into his letters and numbers as I have Justin.  It is his go to when he is bored, tired, needs some quiet time, or just wants to play.  He has a few letter puzzles, some big foam letters and magnetic letters.  He also has an ABC game on the ipod he plays.  I think sometimes he goes to his letters for comfort and security:)  Really he will spend at least 20 minutes just with his letters.  He is very smart and likes to sit and learn about letters and numbers.  He even goes to bed with either a letter or number book.  He even goes as far as lining them up, can you say OCD???
We just love our letter boy!!!

Back to school

We have all had to adjust to the kids going back to school, the babies especially have had to adjust.  Where is Tyty, B, and na-na when I want something?  Why doesn't someone answer me when I call out or cry?  And, what is going on?  No one is picking me up, bugging me, or preventing me from doing what I want?

I think the babes have enjoyed their first week of the boys in school.  We have had a great time together.  They love walking the kids to school then playing in the backyard.  They interact more with each other and love to laugh and play together.  As I type this they are throwing letters around an laughing their heads off!!  They are so excited to see the boys when they get home, absence makes the heart grow fonder:)

In "back yard Jail"  I promise they don't stay there ALL day long...just until I can get my house picked up:)

Back To School

Oh thank goodness this day is finally here!!  To say that it was TIME for the kids to head back to school is an understatement.  We have all had to adjust to our first "traditional" summer this year, and it has been a little long for us all:)

Tyson the big eighth grader was a little anxious about going back.  He is my homebody and would LOVE to be home schooled.  After a few days back in the swing of things, he has changed his tune and likes being able to see his friends again.  We hope he remembers his lessons last year on keeping organized and turning things in on time!  He is growing so fast and has become a wonderful young man.  He is my buddy and I love to hang out with him.

Braden is the KING of the school as a 6th grader.  He was excited to get back and see his friends.  He enjoys school and LOVES his teacher this year.   Nathan is a big 3rd grader and is looking forward to learning cursive and multiplication this year.  He LOVES math and has a wonderful teacher.  He is sad that this is his last year with brothers in Elementary with him.

We hope they all have an outstanding year!!

Two Years Old

I know I always say this, but I can't believe they are two already.  This year has brought lots of changes for the babes.  They have learned many things and grown in every way.  They are a joy to have in our home, most of the time, and they always bring a smile to our faces!

Justin is such a sweet boy.  He continues to be sensitive, and need his loves.  He loves to learn, he reminds me of Tyson, he knows most of his numbers, letters, colors, and shapes.  He remembers what you tell him and will be a great help to his sister who isn't showing much interest in that sort of thing:)  He is hard to stay mad at for too long.  He LOVES his ni-nite and struggles to go anywhere without it.  He looks you right in the eye as you are talking to him and tries hard to communicate his needs and desires to you.  His vocabulary grows everyday and the boys love to make him try new words.  We love having this sweet boy in our family!

Jessica is a princess in every way.  She has figured out that screaming and throwing a fit gets a reaction.  We have tried hard to lecture the boys to not give in to her tantrums.  She is very independent and wants to do everything on her own.  She is also very adventurous, the other night she was outside jumping off of the rocks in our backyard.  She LOVES water and wants to play in the pool and water almost every night.  Jessica loves animals and likes to pretend she is a puppy.  She is a special little girl that has us all wrapped around her finger.  We love this little girl!
